Updated XML File Layouts for the OAS CAHPS Survey – DSRS and Standard

The OAS CAHPS Survey Coordination Team has made additional changes to the recently posted XML file layouts for the OAS CAHPS Survey. The revised Standard and DSRS XML File layouts have been re-posted here.

As a reminder, we are currently revising the Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery CAHPS Survey Protocols and Guidelines Manual, and will alert vendors when version 1.3 of the Protocols and Guidelines Manual has been posted to the OAS CAHPS website.

Changes to the OAS CAHPS XML File Layouts

• Patient Response Record/Q6 Clerk Request: The title text “Q6 Clerk Request” has been changed to “Q6 Clerk Respect” in the XML element column for Q6. This change only applies to the Standard and DSRS XML file layouts.
• Patient Response Record/Q32 Native Hawaiian-Phone: The following changes have been made to the XML element column for Q32 in the Standard and DSRS XML file layouts:
  • the title text “Q32 Race Native Hawaiian-phone” has been changed to “Q32 Race Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander-phone”
  • the tag “<racenativehawaiian-phone>” now displays as “<racenativehawaiianpacificislander-phone>”
  • the example tag “<racenativehawaiian-phone>1</racenativehawaiian-phone>” now displays as “<racenativehawaiianpacificislander-phone>1</racenativehawaiianpacificislander-phone>”
