Information about the Introduction to the OAS CAHPS Survey Training Session

• The Introduction to the OAS CAHPS Survey training is presented as two distinct 4-hour sessions.
  • Session I is offered twice on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from either 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (ET) or 1:30 – 5:30 PM (ET).
  • Session II is offered twice on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (ET) or 1:30 – 5:30 PM (ET).
• Survey vendors seeking to be approved for OAS CAHPS must have their designated OAS CAHPS Survey Administrator/Project Director attend both training Sessions I and II. Subcontractors of survey vendors who play significant roles in data collection must also attend. Hospital Outpatient Departments (HOPDs), Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), and other interested organizations are welcome to attend the training sessions, but participation is not required.

The OAS CAHPS Survey Protocols and Guidelines Manual, Version 1.0 has been posted on the OAS CAHPS website and can be accessed under the "Survey Materials" tab. This manual includes protocols and requirements for collecting and submitting OAS CAHPS Survey data.

To conserve paper, the OAS CAHPS Survey Coordination Team has printed a limited number of hard copy versions of the OAS CAHPS Survey Protocols and Guidelines Manual, Version 1.0. Organizations may request a hard copy of this manual by sending an e-mail message to the OAS CAHPS Survey Coordination Team at oascahps@rti.org.
