Notice of Publication of the Final Rule for Calendar Year 2019

The Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment and Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment Systems and Quality Reporting Programs Final Rule has been published in the Federal Register today, November 21, 2018. The Final Rule is available here.

As stated in the Rule, CMS plans continue the voluntary participation period for OAS CAHPS throughout 2019. The next update (CY 2020 Rule) will be proposed in July and finalized in November 2019. The CY 2020 Rule will reflect any changes that would impact the 2020 data collection period (CY 2022 payment determination).
