Minor Revision to the Telephone Interviewer FAQs in English and Spanish

The OAS CAHPS Survey Coordination Team has revised the response to one of the telephone interviewer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – “My surgery was not outpatient/ambulatory because I stayed overnight at the hospital/facility. This survey does not apply to me.” We clarified that the OAS CAHPS Survey is applicable for patients who had outpatient surgeries and were not discharged to a hospital as an inpatient. The revised versions of this document (in English and Spanish) have been re-posted on the Survey Materials page. Please update your organization’s OAS CAHPS Survey materials accordingly.

This revision will be incorporated into the next version of the Protocols and Guidelines Manual.
