The OAS CAHPS Survey results for participating hospital outpatient
departments (HOPDs) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) will be refreshed
in July 2018 on data.medicare.gov. OAS CAHPS Survey results will include
data from patients who had an outpatient surgery or procedure between
January 2017 and December 2017.
While the Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services (CMS) reviews the
data included in the third composite measure (Preparations for Discharge
and Recovery), this composite will be excluded from the publicly reported
data. However, the "Preparations for Discharge and Recovery" composite
measure will remain in the OAS CAHPS Survey Preview Reports, available to
participating facilities on https://oascahps.org/. Below are the
OAS CAHPS publicly reported measures, for quick reference.
Composite Measures
- About Facilities and Staff (Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7, and Q8)
- Communications About Your Procedure (Q1, Q2, Q9, Q10/Q11, and Q10/Q12)
- Preparations for Discharge and Recovery (Q13, Q14, Q15/Q16, Q17/Q18,

- Patient willingness to recommend HOPD or ASC to family or friends (Q24)
